*** Liability Waiver The Social Hour PARTICIPANT LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE FORM PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT. By RSVPing to the Mix, Meet + Mingle event at The Oasis Under the Sun, 671 Turquoise St, San Diego, CA 92037 (from here after referred to as “the venue”), you acknowledge and agree to the following: By signing this document, I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions as a prerequisite to my participation in any event, activity, or gathering (“Event”) organized by The Social Hour. ASSUMPTION OF RISK I acknowledge that my participation in any The Social Hour event is voluntary and may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activity, transportation before, during, and after the event, food and beverage consumption (including alcohol, if applicable), interactions with other attendees, and exposure to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances. I assume all risks associated with my participation, including injury, illness, property loss, or damage. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless The Social Hour, its founders, officers, members, affiliates, sponsors, event partners, and any associated personnel from any and all claims, demands, damages, injuries, losses, or liabilities that may arise from my participation in any Event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. VENUE WAIVER I understand The Social Hour, its affiliates, organizers partners and the venue are not liable for any claims, damages, or injuries that may occur before, during, or after the event. By signing this document, you release and hold harmless The Social Hour, its affiliates, and the venue from any liability, including claims of negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law. I assume all risks associated with my participation at the venue, including injury, illness, property loss, or damage. TRANSPORTATION LIABILITY WAIVER I understand that The Social Hour is not responsible for any incidents, injuries, delays, or damages related to transportation before, during, or after an Event, including but not limited to driving a vehicle, rideshare services, carpooling, or public transit. Additionally, The Social Hour is not held liable for any towing, parking expenses, or related costs incurred by participants. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION I acknowledge that if alcohol is available at any The Social Hour Event, I am responsible for my own consumption and agree to drink responsibly. I understand that The Social Hour does not assume liability for any actions resulting from alcohol consumption, including injury, illness, or misconduct. MEDICAL TREATMENT I consent to receive medical treatment in the event of injury, accident, or illness during a The Social Hour Event. I understand that The Social Hour does not provide medical insurance or coverage for participants and that I am responsible for my own medical expenses. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF HEALTH CONDITIONS I confirm that I am in good health and physically able to participate in The Social Hour Events. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to consult a physician if I have any concerns about my health or ability to participate in any Event activities. PERSONAL BELONGINGS DISCLAIMER I understand that The Social Hour is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings during an Event. I assume full responsibility for my personal items at all times. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA RELEASE I grant The Social Hour permission to use any photographs, videos, or recordings taken of me during Events for promotional, marketing, or other business-related purposes without compensation or further approval. CODE OF CONDUCT I agree to conduct myself in a respectful and responsible manner while participating in The Social Hour Events. I understand that any disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior may result in my removal from an Event without a refund and potential exclusion from future Events. INDEMNIFICATION I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Social Hour from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses, including legal fees, arising from my actions or conduct at an Event, including damages to persons or property. FORCE MAJEURE I understand that The Social Hour is not responsible for any cancellations, modifications, or delays in an Event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events. CANCELLATION POLICY All ticket purchases for The Social Hour are final. We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for any reason, including scheduling conflicts, weather conditions, or personal circumstances. GOVERNING LAW This waiver shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, and any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of California. SEVERABILITY If any provision of this waiver is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. By confirming your RSVP, you confirm you have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the waiver above.
